Canadian History
Welcome to Canadian History! In this course, we will examine historical events in Canada and how they have shaped who we are today.
Mar. 2-6
We have started our March Current Events assignment.
We also completed a reading and some notes on New France/Acadia.
The students completed a reading on The Fur Trade and a question page. As well, we completed our Fur Trade Simulation activity on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Thursday, we will look at The American Revolution.
Feb. 23-27
Students will be writing a 5-paragraph essay on the movie The Black Robe from the topics given to them before we watched the movie. They may use their viewing guides, as well.
Mon-Wed will be work periods for the essay, the family history, and the current events.
We also completed a reading and some notes on New France/Acadia.
Feb. 19-20
Students will be given these two work periods to complete their family history assignment and work on current events.
Feb. 9-13
Contact with First Nations People
We will be watching The Black Robe and completing a viewing guide. As well, we will be writing an essay in class.
