Love and Loyalty

This semester, we are beginning with our Love and Loyalty Unit.  We will beginning Shakespeare towards the end of the month!

Act I

We have read all of Act I.  Students are working on their Journal/Discussion questions for Act I (blue handout), as well as the Character Diary (yellow handout) for this section.  We filled in the Exposition portion of the Plot Diagram (salmon handout), as well.

**Remember to be reading your Paper Bag Book Project novel, as well.  We will have time on Thursday to read.  As well, computer time will be booked next week to work on the Project portion.

Feb. 23-27

DUE DATE - All Shakespeare Research assignments are due Monday, March 2.

Students worked on finishing their Poetry Analysisé

As well, they worked on their Paper Bag Book Projects that will be due in March.

Feb. 19-20

Students will be working on their Poetry Analysis using their love and break up songs that they found last week. 

They will also have one period in the computer lab to work on their Shakespeare research assignment.

Feb. 9-13

We worked on some Vocabulary Development lessons.
Students were given time to work on their Shakespeare representing poster and their three paragraph Research Paper on Shakespeare.

We finished off the week watching Shakespeare in Love so that students were aware of what the Globe Theatre looked like, how life was during Shakespeare`s time, and what the costumes, dress were like, as well.

Paper Bag Book Project - be sure to have your independent novel with you each day!

Love Songs/Break Up Songs - we will be using popular music to learn about poetry!
